Hope senior Emily Colenbrander finished the model of consistency at the NCAA Division III women's golf championships shooting an 86 in three of the four rounds.

She finished 31st in the field of 59th competitors with a final tally of 86-90-86-86--348.

The individual national medalist came from the MIAA as Saint Mary's sophomore Stefanie Simmerman of Phoenix, Ariz. won the top spot by four strokes. Her four-round, 72-hole total was 76-82-77-80--315. She is the MIAA's first national champion in golf, men or women.

The MIAA champion Belles finished fourth among the 10 teams. Methodist, N.C. repeated as national team champion.
