A Hymn Festival co-sponsored by the Hope College Department of Music and the Holland Area Chapter of the American Guild of Organists will be held Sunday, Oct. 26 3 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel.

The program is titled "Tell Me the Stories of Jesus" and features choir members from nine area churches under the direction of Dr. Brad Richmond, Director of Choral Activities at Hope.

The choir will assist the congregational singing on a wide variety of hymns including "Come, Christians Join to Sing," "Joy to the World," "Beneath the Cross of Jesus," and "When in Our Music God is Glorified." The choir will also sing John Rutter's "For the Beauty of the Earth" and Harold Darke's lovely Christmas anthem "In the Bleak Mid-winter.

Hope students, Alisa White and Ryan Winningham, trumpets, Aaron Hawn and Kevin Butterfield, trombones and Elizabeth Irvine, percussion will accompany featured organists Elizabeth Claar and Richard Van Oss '75. The service is free and open to the public and a reception will follow the program.

A free-will offering will be taken.
