The Hope College Orchestra will perform on Friday, Nov. 21, at 8 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

The evening will include work by Felix Mendelssohn, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Howard Hanson.

Flutist Rebecca VanDeWalker of the Hope College music faculty will join the Orchestra as a soloist, performing Bach's "Suite No. 2 in B minor for Flute and Strings."

Also on the program are Mendelssohn's "Ruy Blas Overture," and Hanson's "Symphony No. 2 (Romantic)." Recognized as one of the outstanding American composers, Hanson is also known for developing the Eastman School of Music.

Dimnent Memorial Chapel is located on College Avenue at 12th Street.
