The junior from Grand Rapids, Mich. (GR Christian HS) was voted the most valuable defensive player in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) this fall. During the season he was named a Division III national defensive player of the week after collecting 4.5 quarterback sacks against DePauw, Ind. He ranked among the Division III leaders in sacks (#14 with 11.5) and tackles for a loss (#17 with 20.5).
