The Hope College Wind Symphony will be presenting the first of a new series, called "The Spotlight Series," on Friday, April 18, at 7:30 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

For the concert, the Wind Symphony will be looking at several influential American composers. The show will open with "Fanfare for the Common Man," by Aaron Copland and continue with "Elegy," by Mark Camphouse. Next will be "American Salute," by Morton Gould followed by "From a Dark Millennium," by Joseph Schwantner. The night will close with John Williams's "Star Wars Trilogy."

Dimnent Memorial Chapel is located at 277 College Ave., on College Avenue at 12th Street.
