Letterwinners on spring sports teams at Hope College have been announced by athletic directors Tim Schoonveld and women's athletic director Eva Dean Folkert.
The spring season culminated a successful year of intercollegiate athletics as Hope College won the Commisioner's Cup for having the best cumulative men's and women's program in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA). Hope finished first in the MIAA women's and second in the men's all-sports standings. It marked the 33rd time in school history that Hope has won the coveted MIAA Commissioner's Cup, the most of any member school.
Seventeen athletes lettered in their sport for a fourth consecutive year. They are Colton Bodrie (baseball), Drew Carmody (baseball), John Donkersloot (track), Emily Fischer (track), Dezmon Fulton (track), Derek Fairchild (baseball), Katherine Garcia (tennis), Emily Kreichelt (track), Cameron Lampkin (track), Steve Lewis (baseball), Michelle Marra (softball), Kori Nieuwsma (softball), Nicholas Rinck (track), Abby Phillips (softball), Andrea Reinecke (softball), Kara VandeGuchte (track), Jeff Vredenburg (tennis).
