Three seniors will captain the Hope College men’s soccer team this fall: midfielder Cameron Dice of Allendale, Michigan (Hudsonville Unity Christian HS), midfielder Connor Kogge of Holt, Michigan (Mason HS) and back Logan Sikkenga of Hudsonville, Michigan (Hudsonville HS).

Dice is an engineering major who also is pursuing a mathematics minor.

Kogge is majoring in psychology.

Sikkenga is majoring in early childhood education.

Hope coach Steven Smith said Dice, Kogge and Sikkenga, all will lead with unity and focus as they represent our team values in clear ways.

“They are admired by all members of the team,” Smith said. “They are men of integrity and sound leadership and have the ear of various players on the team.”

The Flying Dutchmen open the 2014 season on August 29-30 with the Cal Bergsma Memorial Tournament at Van Andel Soccer Stadium. They play North Central (Ill.) on Aug. 29 and Ohio Wesleyan on Aug. 30.
