Five Hope College women’s golfers have earned spots on the 2019-20 Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-America Scholars Team.
Juniors Abigail Meder and Jordyn Rioux, sophomore Deanna DeLeeuw and freshmen Rita
Cheney and Grace VanDellen all received the honor. To qualify, goals must record a
3.5 grade point average or higher.
“It is an honor and a pleasure to work with these young ladies,” head coach Greg Stafford
said. “All of them do an excellent job of being student-athletes. The women's golf
program is very proud of these team members.”
Meder is a junior biology and psychology double major from Lansing, Michigan (Lansing
Catholic HS).
Rioux is a junior education major from Farmington, Michigan (Livonia Ladywood).
DeLeeuw is a sophomore psychology major from Hudsonville, Michigan (Hudsonville).
Cheney is a freshman from Mason, Michigan (Mason). VanDellen is a freshman from Oxford,
Michigan (Lutheran Northwest).
