The undefeated Hope College women’s basketball team topped the final D3hoops.com poll of the 2019-20 season.

Head coach Brian Morehouse’s Flying Dutch finished first in the poll after totaling 619 points and receiving 21 of 25 possible first-place votes.

Hope finished the season as the NCAA Division III’s lone unbeaten team with a 29-0 record. The Flying Dutch won their first two games in the NCAA tournament before it was canceled.

This is the second time Hope has ended the season No. 1 in D3hoops poll. The last time was the 2006 national championship season.

The Flying Dutch have appeared in the D3hoops poll 286 times — most among Division III teams.

This season, Hope captured its 18th MIAA regular-season championship with a 16-0 league record. It marked the seventh time the Flying Dutch won all of their league games in a season and fifth time going 16-0 against MIAA opponents.

Hope also won the MIAA Tournament for the 15th time in team history - most among MIAA teams.
