Clery Act
Hope College complies with the Clery Act.
The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, or Clery Act, is a federal statute that requires all colleges and universities that participate in federal financial aid programs to keep and disclose information about crime on and near their respective campuses.
Campus Security Authorities
Campus Security Authorities are college officials who have significant responsibility for student and campus activities and are mandated to report crimes.
Timely Warnings
Timely warnings are issued when a criminal incident occurs on or near campus that represents a serious and continuing threat to the person and well-being of students and employees. They are intended to aid in the prevention of similar crimes by alerting the campus community, thereby enabling community members to take necessary precautions.
Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report
In compliance with the Clery Act, Hope College provides the Annual Security Report and Annual Fire Safety Report, with information on policies and procedures for the institution.
