and sometimes even a visit from Santa!
Silent Auction
The annual Silent Auction at the Haworth Hotel features gift baskets, food, goods, activities, art and gift certificates — all donated by our generous local businesses and individuals in the Holland and Zeeland community. All proceeds from the auction go to the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.
West Ottawa High School Mini-Marathon
Hope’s first Mini-Marathon was started at West Ottawa High School in 2013. West Ottawa’s Mini-Marathon is a 6-hour dance-a-thon structured similarly to Hope’s 24-hour dance-a-thon. Hope College Dream Team members serve as advisors to the high school mini-marathon leadership team.
ZEELAND EAST HIGH SCHOOL MINI-MARATHON
Zeeland East High School held their first Mini-Marathon in 2017. Zeeland’s Mini-Marathon is also a 6-hour dance-a-thon, with activities and miracle family speakers sprinkled throughout the evening. Students in the Zeeland East Senate work with Hope College Dream Team members to plan and coordinate the event details.
Holland Christian High School Mini-Marathon
Holland Christian High School held their inaugural Mini-Marathon in 2019. Raising $18, 882.68 in their very first year, they have already had a huge impact on Miracle kiddos and families.

Dance Marathon
This is the main event! This is Hope College’s 24-hour dance-a-thon on March 4-5, 2022. Dancers are on their feet for 24 hours as a gesture of solidarity with the children and families they support. Miracle Families, moralers, staff, faculty, alumni and community members all come together to support Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital throughout the event. The event consists of continued fundraising, performances, speakers, the Miracle Families sharing their stories, and plenty of dancing and other activities.
