John Van Iwaarden, professor of mathematics at Hope College, recently attended the 10th Annual International Conference on Technology in College Mathematics, held in Chicago, Ill.
At the conference, he served as the moderator for
the session "Computer Technology and Interactive
Differential Equations." In addition, he presented a poster
session, "Student Projects in Calculus Using Maple," during
which he outlined the activities of the college's department
of mathematics in the area. Materials from the poster
session are being distributed to more than 40 colleges and
universities across the nation.
Van Iwaarden has been a member of the Hope faculty
since 1961.
