Hope College sophomore Ellen Colenbrander of
Holland (Holland HS) has been voted a collegiate golf All-
American by the National Golf Coaches Association.
Colenbrander is a second team honoree among NCAA Division II
and III players. The first and second teams include six players
from each NCAA division.
Colenbrander is playing in the NCAA Division II and III
national championship tournament this week. She is a two-time
Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) all-
conference player.
She is Hope's second women's golf All-American. The first
honoree was Lisa Stover in 1994.
Other NCAA Division III All-Americans are Tracy Gage and
Stacey Smith of Methodist, N.C., Meredith Hare of Hardin-Simmons,
Tex., Hannah Willenborg of Simpson, Iowa and Christie Strecker of
Concordia, Minn.
