The Hope College Gospel Choir will present its annual spring concert on Saturday and Sunday, April 8-9, at 8 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel.

Tickets are $5 each, and are available at the
  college's Keppel House, 129 E. 10th Street, during weekday
business hours.  Tickets will also be sold at the door on
both performance nights as availability allows.
The Gospel Choir performs throughout the school
year, including at Hope events such as the college's
celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. day in January as well
as at area churches.  All proceeds from ticket sales will go
to support the volunteer choir for the upcoming year.
The Hope College Gospel Choir started in 1970 as
an extension of the college's Black Student Coalition.  In
1992, Vanessa Allen and Darnisha Taylor became co-directors
as students and formally organized the choir.  The group has
since grown from six members to the 130 voices of today.
Taylor, who graduated from Hope in 1994, continues
to direct the choir.  A licensed minister with the
Assemblies of God Church, she is now a member of Hope's
  Campus Ministries staff.
Dimnent Memorial Chapel is located on College
  Avenue at 12th Street.
