The first of this semester's music
faculty recitals at Hope College will be held on Sunday,
Jan. 28, at 4 p.m. in Wichers Auditorium of Nykerk Hall of
Music.

Jan. 28, at 4 p.m. in Wichers Auditorium of Nykerk Hall of

The public is invited. Admission is free.
The program will include the world premiere
performance of Scott Harding's "Duo Conertante for Clarinet
and Bassoon," performed by Kristin Ward, clarinet, and
Steven Ward, bassoon.
The recital will also include Lev Kogan's
"'Chabad' Hassidic Suite," performed by Thom Working, horn,
and Roberta Kraft, piano. Deborah Craioveanu, viola, and
Joan Conway, piano, will perform "Capriccio in C Minor for
Viola, Op.posth." and "Elegie, Op. 30" by Henri Vieuxtemps.
Eugene Bozza's "Aria" will be performed by Ryan
Janus, alto saxophone, and Charles Aschbrenner, piano.
Elizabeth La Grande, mezzo-soprano, and Sheryl Lott
Richardson, piano, will combine for Francesco Paolo Tosti's
"Three Songs," while Luigi Hugues' "Grand Concerto Fantasy,
Op. 5" will be performed by Rebecca Van De Walker, flute,
Julie Sooy, flute, and Jennifer Wolfe, piano.
The Faculty Recital Series will continue on
Sunday, Feb. 18, and Sunday, March 11, at 4 p.m. in Wichers
Auditorium of Nykerk Hall of Music.
Nykerk Hall of Music is located along the former
12th Street between College and Columbia avenues.
