The Hope College Opera Workshop will
present its annual program of opera scenes on Tuesday, Feb.
27, at 8 p.m. in Wichers Auditorium of Nykerk Hall of Music.
The public is invited. Admission is free.
Selections will be from "Fidelio" by Beethoven,
"Der Freischuetz" by Weber, and "Hänsel und Gretel" by
Humperdinck.
The program is directed by Margaret Kennedy-Dygas,
with coach-accompanist Deborah De La Torre.
The singers this year are all freshman and
sophomore voice students: freshman Stephan Gombis of
Countryside, Ill.; freshman Sara Luneack of Alma; sophomore
Sonja Lytle of Sturgis; sophomore Crystal Stabenow of Mount
Pleasant; and freshman Sandra Voorhees of West Bloomfield.
