Aerial Dance Theater will present two premieres during the company's fall concert at Hope College on Friday-Saturday, Sept. 14-15, at the Knickerbocker Theatre.

The concert, which begins at 8 p.m. each evening, will feature the official premiere of Linda Graham's award- winning "Red Wolf," as well as the premiere of Steven Iannacone's original "PianoPieces." Aerial will also offer a "Family Affair" matinee on Saturday, Sept. 15, at 2 p.m. to introduce young families to the art of dance.

Described by choreographer Graham as "an exploration of the wild within," "Red Wolf" received the Maggie Allesee New Choreography Award in October of 2000 from the Michigan Dance Council in Lansing. "PianoPieces," set to solo piano music of Frederic Chopin, "envisions the music of Chopin in a new way," according to choreographer Iannacone. The two premieres are supported by a grant from the Holland Area Arts Council/Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs.

Aerial will also present two repertory works of considerable disparity during the evening performances. The humane appeal behind the abstract fun of the multi-media "SideShow" is sharply contrasted by the driven, haunting "Bolero." Both works are by Iannacone, and received international recognition this summer when Aerial performed in Queretaro, Mexico, and Brugge, Belgium.

Aerial Dance Theater is an affiliate of the department of dance at Hope College, and is supported by the Holland Area Arts Council/Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, the Hope College Patrons for the Arts, Herman Miller Inc. and Angels for Aerial.

Tickets will be available at the door, and for the evening performances will cost $6 for regular adult admission and $4 for senior citizens and students. Tickets for the "Family Affair" matinee will be $3 for all adults. Admission for children under 12 is free for all performances. Additional information about tickets may be obtained by calling (616) 395-7403.
