All-MIAA teams have been announced in three fall sports. The honor teams are selected by the league's coaches.

Volleyball

Hope senior Amy Brower of Hamilton, Mich. (Hamilton HS) has been voted the MIAA's most valuable volleyball player. The Flying Dutch were MIAA co-champions this fall and posted an overall 20-14 record.

Brower is a two-time All-MIAA first team honoree. She was one of the team's co-captains this fall.

Joining Brower on the All-MIAA first team is junior Kara Van Assen of Jenison, Mich. (Jenison HS). Voted to the All-MIAA second team were juniors Laura Hahnfeld of Midland, Mich. (Midland HS) and Martha Luidens of Holland, Mich. (Holland HS).

Men's Soccer

Four Hope players have been voted to the All-MIAA men's soccer first team.

The Flying Dutchmen finished runner-up in the MIAA standings this fall and posted an overall 16-3-1 record.

Voted All-MIAA first team for the second year were sophomore forward Ed Huebner of Portage, Mich. (Portage Northern HS) and junior goalkeeper Marcus Voss of Zeeland, Mich. (Zeeland HS). Honored for the first time were senior midfielder Tim Keeler and senior back Jon Kucinski, both from Portage, Mich. (Portage Northern HS).

Voted to All-MIAA second team was junior back Matt Margaron of Naperville, Ill. (Naperville Central HS).

Women's Soccer

The Flying Dutch placed two players on the All-MIAA women's soccer second team.

The Flying Dutch tied for fifth place in the MIAA this fall and posted an overall 7-11-1 record.

Hope's All-MIAA honorees are seniors Liz Dornbos of Vicksburg, Mich. (Vicksburg HS) and Beth Stygstra of Holland, Mich. (West Ottawa HS).
