Hope College tops the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) all-sports standings in every category after the fall season.
Each year the MIAA presents the Commissioner's Cup for the best cumulative performance in all sports as well as separate awards for the best finish in both men's and women's sports.
Through the fall season, Hope ranks first in all three areas.
Commissioner's Cup Standings: 1. Hope 84, 2. Calvin 66, 3. Albion 60, 4. Alma 58, 4. Kalamazoo 58, 6. Adrian 28, 7. Olivet 23.
Men's All-Sports Standings: 1. Hope 42, 2. Calvin 28, 3. Albion 26, 4. Alma 24, 5. Kalamazoo 22, 6. Olivet 14, 7. Adrian 12.
Women's All-Sports Standings: 1. Hope 42, 2. Calvin 38, 3. Kalamazoo 36, 4. Albion 34, 4. Alma 34, 6. Adrian 16, 7. Saint Mary's 15, 8. Olivet 9.
The final standings for the all-sports awards will be determined on the basis of each college's standings in eight of nine sports for men and eight of nine sports for women. These point totals will be added together to determine the winner of the Commissioners' Cup. The standings through the fall season were determined by counting all sports played to date, four by the men and four by the women.
Hope won fall conference championships in men's and women's golf and were co-champions in volleyball. Hope was second in the league standings in men's cross country, football, and men's soccer, finished third in women's cross country and ended in a tie for fifth in women's soccer.
The Commissioner's Cup (MIAA All-Sports Award) has been presented since 1934-35. Hope has won the award a league-leading 23 times followed by Albion 14, Kalamazoo 13, Calvin 8 and Alma 5.
