The French Cultural Studies Colloquium will present the address "The 'Reformation' of the Dictionnaire universel (1701)" by Professor David Eick of the College of Charleston in South Carolina on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 3 p.m. in the Maas Center conference room.

Refreshments will be served, and the public is invited. Admission is free.

Eick is completing his doctoral dissertation for the University of Iowa on the Dictionary Wars in Pre- Revolutionary France. He has presented several papers on the topic, and has published one article on the French social scientists Michel Foucault and Pierre Bourdieu.

The Maas Center is located on Columbia Avenue at 11th Street.
