In a departure from its usual production program, Aerial Dance Theater, Holland's own award-winning, globetrotting contemporary dance company, will present of week of "Family Affair" matinee performances on Tuesday-Saturday, May 4-8, at 11 a.m. at the Knickerbocker Theatre in downtown Holland.

In a departure from its usual production program, Aerial Dance Theater, Holland's own award-winning, globetrotting contemporary dance company, will present of week of "Family Affair" matinee performances on Tuesday-Saturday, May 4-8, at 11 a.m. at the Knickerbocker Theatre in downtown Holland.

The matinee performances will be approximately one hour in length, with a ticket price of $2 and free popcorn available for all. Tickets will be available at the door.

The program will feature the premiere of "UNET," a conceptual exploration of form, shape and power - "a look through the microscope... or the telescope?"

The program will also feature the return of two popular pieces, "Bolero" and "Sideshow." "Bolero" is a driving, hypnotic piece about conformity and the individual that possesses moments of synchronized aggression, passion and confrontation. "Sideshow," is a multi-media performance drenched in color and sprinkled with humor, fun and surprise.

All three works were choreographed by Steven Iannacone, artistic director of Aerial.

Aerial's annual spring concerts will be presented two weeks later, on Friday-Saturday, May 21-22, at 8 p.m. at the Knickerbocker Theatre.Additional information about Aerial's performances may be obtained by calling (616) 395-7690.
