An orchid show will be featured in the greenhouse of the science center at Hope College from Monday, Oct. 10, through Thursday, Oct. 20.
The public is invited. Admission is free.
Approximately 40-50 blooming orchids will be featured. Also on display will be the other plants contained in the greenhouse.
The greenhouse is located on the second floor of the college's science center, and is accessible from near the southwest corner of the original Peale Science Center. The biology office is adjacent to the main Schaap Atrium on the second floor of the new building. The science center is located on College Avenue at 12th Street.
The science center is open Mondays through Thursdays from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Fridays from 5 a.m. until 6 p.m., and will also be open during the afternoon of Saturday, Oct. 15, in conjunction with Homecoming Weekend activities at Hope. While not continuously staffed, the greenhouse is generally open from 8 a.m. to dusk when the building is open.
