Health educator Dr. Candace Corson will present "Health and Nutrition: Under Stress? What Works & What Doesn't" on Friday, March 3, at 1 p.m. at Hope College in the DeWitt Center Herrick Room.
The public is invited. Admission is free.
Corson is a physician whose expertise is in prevention, integrative healing and chronic illness. She speaks throughout the country on environmental and health issues.
She is director of integrative medicine with the Healing Arts Center on the River in Mishawaka, Ind., and is a member of the Healthy Communities Initiative in South Bend, Ind.
Corson graduated from the Yale School of Medicine and did her residency in family practice at the University of Rochester in New York. She spent five years in public health service with the National Health Service Corps, and several more years serving in private practice in South Bend.
Her talk is sponsored by the college's office of the provost, dean for the arts and humanities, CrossRoads Project, human resources office, department of nursing and department of English.
The Herrick Room is on the southwest corner of the second floor of the DeWitt Center, which is located on Columbia Avenue at 12th Street.
