The Hope College Orchestra and Symphonette will perform with guest and faculty vocalists on Friday, Feb. 27, at 7:30 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

The concert will be an evening of opera, featuring four professional soloists, singing famous solos, duets and a quartet.

The soloists will be Linda Dykstra, soprano; Sarah Holman, alto; Ken Prewitt, tenor; and Dale Schreimer, bass, all four of whom are voice teachers at various institutions in addition to being active as performers. Dykstra is a Hope faculty member and chair of the voice division; Holman teaches at Wheaton College; Prewitt teaches at WesternMichiganUniversity; and Schriemer teaches at GrandValleyStateUniversity.

The concert will end with the four on stage in a quartet by Giuseppe Verdi.  The other composers whose works are being performed include Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Antonín Leopold Dvorak, Domenico Gaetano Maria Donizetti, Clément Philibert Léo Delibes and Georges Bizet.

Dimnent Memorial Chapel is located at 277 College Ave., on College Avenue at 12th Street.
