Hope College has announced a staff addition and changes within its Hope Fund, major gift and alumni relations programs.

° Abby Reeg has joined the staff as director of the Hope Fund.  The Hope Fund solicits ongoing, unrestricted financial support from alumni, corporations, churches, parents and friends for operations and programs at the college.

Reeg was most recently director of development and marketing at Evergreen Commons for the past five years.  Her professional experience has also included managerial positions with the Ottawa County United Way, the Child Abuse Council of Muskegon County, the West Shore Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association and two Hospice organizations.

Her community experience currently includes serving on the board of the Tri-Cities Love INC and she is a member of PEO (a philanthropic educational organization that works to further women's education). She volunteers for the Holland Area Chamber of Commerce and the Spring Lake Yacht Club. And, she was founding president of the Walden Green School Foundation.

Reeg graduated from Hope in 1986 with a communication major and a Spanish minor.  She completed a master's degree in organizational communication from Western Michigan University in 1990.

° Stephanie Greenwood, who was previously director of the Hope Fund, has become executive director for the Hope Fund and advancement services.  In addition to her new role with the Hope Fund, her new responsibilities include overseeing the research and records related to the college's advancement program.  A 1995 Hope graduate, she joined the Hope staff as director of parent relations in 2003 and became director of the Hope Fund in 2006.

° Mary Remenschneider, who was previously director of alumni and parent relations, has become executive director for major gifts, with managerial responsibility for the members of the college's fund-raising officers.  Remenschneider, a 1996 Hope graduate, joined the Hope staff in 2003 as director of alumni relations and assumed additional responsibility for the parent relations program in 2006.

° Scott Travis, a 2006 Hope graduate who has been assistant director of alumni and parent relations since shortly after graduating, has been appointed director of alumni and parent relations.  The alumni and parent relations program coordinates a variety of events, activities and services locally and around the country for alumni and parents and families of students.  His oversight of both programs will include supervision of an assistant director still to be appointed.
