Members of the Hope community will have two opportunities to experience the Dancing Wheels Dance Company of Cleveland, Ohio, on Friday, Feb. 4:  a master class at 8:30 a.m. and a concert at 7:30 p.m.

The dance company, brought to Holland by Disability Network/Lakeshore and presented in cooperation with Hope, will lead a workshop in physically integrated dance on Friday, Feb. 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the dance studio (room 207)  in the Dow Center.  The campus community is invited to the workshop, and admission is free.

Participants in the workshop will take an in-depth look at physically integrated dance through adaptive translation, integrated partnering techniques and the opportunity to try dancing in a wheelchair.  Participants of mixed abilities, with or without disabilities, are encouraged to attend.

The workshop precedes the company's performance on Friday, Feb. 4, at 7:30 p.m. in the DeWitt Center main theatre.  Tickets for the concert are $15 for regular admission and $12 for senior citizens and students, and are available at the ticket office in the main lobby of the DeVos Fieldhouse.  The ticket office is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and can be called at (616) 395-7890.
