Hope College biology professor Gregory Fraley recently traveled with senior biology major Sarah Colton of Valparaiso, Ind. to present her research at the international Poultry Science Association annual meeting.

Sarah won an award for her scientific presentation where she competed against nine other undergrads and nearly 100 graduate students of the 850 total attendees. Sarah's presentation described her research on environmental enrichment in the poultry industry for Pekin ducks to improve the ducks' overall health and well being.

Also, Dr. Fraley's graduate advisor, Dr. Wayne Kuenzel of the University of Arkansas was inducted as a Science Fellow...one of the highest honors to be bestowed upon a research scientist.
