Hope College’s Anna Garcia has been chosen the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for matches played through March 27.
The senior from Battle Creek, Michigan (Lakeview HS) is receiving the honor for the third time in her career and the first time this season.
Garcia helped the Flying Dutch win all four of their matches last week in Florida.
Garcia posted a 4-0 singles record and a 3-0 doubles record against Grinnell, Iowa, Birmingham Southern, Scranton, Pennsylvania and Whitworth, Washington.
Garcia played No. 1 singles against Scranton and No. 2 singles against Grinnell, Birmingham Southern and Whitworth.
Garcia teamed with freshman Taylor LaBarge of Hudsonville, Michigan (Hudsonville HS) at No. 2 doubles last week.
