Hope College setter Adair Cutler and middle hitter McKenna Otto have made the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District® Volleyball Teams for NCAA Division III.

Cutler and Otto are among eight CoSIDA Academic All-District® honorees from District 6 that includes schools from Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.

Both advanced to the Academic All-America® ballot. First, second, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced next month.

Cutler played in nine matches this spring for the Flying Dutch, who finished with a 9-1 record and won the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Tournament. The senior from East Lansing, Michigan (Lansing Christian HS) averaged 5.82 assists and 2.57 digs per set as a senior.

A mathematics major, Cutler made the MIAA Academic Honor Roll as a junior, sophomore, and freshman.

Otto is a three-time, All-MIAA First Team selection who finished second for Hope in both kills percent at 3.41 and blocks per set at 1.00. She finished with a .270 attack percentage over 10 games. In 2019, Otto was named an American Volleyball Coaches Association All-American.

The junior from Wheaton, Illinois (Wheaton North) is a biomedical and biomechanical major who made the MIAA Academic Honor Roll as a sophomore and freshman.

The Division III CoSIDA Academic All-America® program has been honoring student-athletes since 1952.

The program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and the NAIA. It is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2020-21 Divisions III Academic All-America® programs.
