Character Awards
Every year, Hope College recognizes students and faculty that have demonstrated great character.
The recipients model principles and actions that are virtuous and praiseworthy. They serve as positive examples of character for us all. There are two categories for these awards: individual awards and group awards.
Individual Awards
Awards are given each year to individuals displaying remarkable character. Awardees may be an example of a highly virtuous person, an individual that has continued the right course despite obstacles and setbacks, a leader that has empowered others to grow, etc. The Character Hub recognizes that there are many ways that character is shown or revealed and encourages the nomination of any deserving individual. Share the stories of those around you and increase their impact!
The Individual Character Award nomination form will be available soon.
Group Awards
Each year, Hope College highlights a group on campus that has shown excellent character. A group could be an athletic team, a student organization or community, a fraternity or sorority, a class, a department or office, etc. The group may demonstrate character through service, projects, community building, or fundraising, among other activities. The above lists are not prescriptive and the Character Hub desires nomination of any group that displays excellent character, no matter how the group is defined.
The Group Character Award nomination form will be available soon.
