Pre-College Conference

Soulful Speech: Cultivating Freedom of Expression at Hope CollegeSoulful Speech: Cultivating Freedom of Expression at Hope College

Wednesday, August 21–Sunday, August 25, 2024

Here at Hope, we believe that “what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart… ” (Matthew 15:18). The college is “committed to freedom of inquiry in the pursuit of truth and knowledge in every field of study, confident that all truth is God’s truth.”  With that said, claims and counterclaims should be motivated by pursuing and interrogating truth—not to degrade another person or group of people created and loved by God.

The Pre-College Conference is a significant event for our community. Full-time faculty are expected to participate, and we extend a warm invitation to emeritus, adjunct faculty and staff to join us as their schedules allow. Your participation is not just welcomed, but valued.

RSVP is required for the all-employee lunch, Thursday afternoon breakout session and (for faculty) Sunday’s Opening Convocation.

Registration Deadline: Friday, August 16
