Application process

Submit a written application via e-mail, fax or post on or before the stated deadline. The proposal letter should clearly:

• Describe your project, including information on work already completed and what you intend to accomplish during the tenure of the fellowship
• Address the criteria used for selection of Fellows
• Confirm your commitment to fulfilling the expectations for Visiting Research Fellows
• Include a current curriculum vitae as an enclosure or attachment

Please submit your application for a 2025–26 fellowship by January 17, 2025.

Stipend

The Van Raalte Institute will pay a maximum grant of $3,000. The grant is normally used to offset travel and living expenses. For a Hope faculty member appointed as a Visiting Research Fellow, the institute will pay up to $3,000 toward the cost of hiring a replacement for faculty member’s teaching responsibilities for that semester.
