The Environmental Issues Group at Hope College will sponsor its annual "Earth Jam" concert on the lawn between Phelps and Lubbers halls, located west of Columbia Avenue on 10th Street, on Saturday, April 15, from noon until 6 p.m.
The public is invited. Admission is free.
The event is scheduled to bolster awareness of
environmental issues, and in addition to the performers will
feature environmental messages and booths with related
information. The concert is scheduled in anticipation of
Earth Day, which is a week later, Saturday, April 22.
"Earth Jam" will feature four groups and one
soloist. Those appearing are: The Episode, the guitarist
Jason, White Vinyl, Ervin Stellar and Gino Scare.
The concert will be broadcast by the college's
student-run radio station, WTHS, 89.9 FM. In the event of
rain, "Earth Jam" will be held in the Kletz of the DeWitt
Center, located on Columbia Avenue at 12th Street.
