The French Cultural Studies Colloquium at Hope College will host the address "Vietnam: The French Connection" on Thursday, April 1, at 4 p.m. in the DeWitt Center Herrick Room.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

The address will be presented by Dr. Janet Solberg, who is an associate professor of romance languages and literature at Kalamazoo College. Solberg, who has done research in Vietnam, will speak on the historical, political and cultural aspects of the French colonization of Vietnam.

The DeWitt Center is located on Columbia Avenue at 12th Street. The Herrick Room is located on the southwest corner of the building's second floor.
