An exhibition of work by graduating majors in art and art history at Hope College will open in the De Pree Art Center on Friday, April 2, and continue through Sunday, May 2.

The exhibition, "Level Orange," will open with a reception on Friday, April 2, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

The public is invited to the exhibition and the reception. Admission is free.

Work represented in the show ranges from painting and photography to ceramics and mixed media sculpture. The exhibiting studio art majors are: Heidi Bender of Sturgis; Dana Brown of Pompton Plains, N.J.; Jill DeVries of Appleton, Wis.; Crystal Dahlke of Antigo, Wis.; Julie Esch of Ann Arbor; Betsie Jetter of Greenville, Ohio; Jennifer Jourdan of Noblesville, Ind.; Crystal Little of South Lyon; Dejana Majdandzic of Holland; Laura Moore of Sturgis; Valerie Patrick of Lansing; Hannah Rapson of Iowa City, Iowa; Jessica Wagar of Petoskey; Grace Whitmer of Naperville, Ill.; Sharon Gutowski of St. Louis, Mo.; Sarah Todd of Holland; and Chris Van Pelt of Spencer, Iowa.

Also on display are the senior papers of graduating art history majors Bethany Martin of Richland; Christine Reed of Grand Rapids; and Whitmer. The students will give slide presentations of their papers on Wednesday, April 14, at 7 p.m. in Cook Auditorium of the De Pree Art Center. Admission to the April 14 event is also free. Please note that some material in the art history presentations may not be suitable for younger audience members.

The De Pree Art Center is located on Columbia Avenue at 12th Street. Regular gallery hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The gallery hours may be reduced during breaks and holidays. The gallery is handicapped accessible.
