Hope College will present its annual Concerto/Aria Concert on Thursday, Feb. 8, at 7:30 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

The concert features students, who were selected through a competition held last November, performing with the Hope College orchestra. This year four students were selected to perform.

The program will open with the "Overture to the Marriage of Figaro," by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

The first soloist for the evening will be Sally VanderPloeg, piano, who will be performing the "Capriccio Brillant," by Felix Mendelssohn. Meghan Moore, soprano, will perform Mozart's "Una donna aquindici anni" from the opera "Cosi fan tutti." Carol Beth Steiner, flute, performs the "Concerto for Flute and Orchestra," by Carl Reinecke. The final performer on the program is Emily Chapman, piano, performing the "Concerto in A minor," by Robert Schumann.

The concert will close with the "Overture to William Tell," by Gioachino Rossini.
Dimnent Memorial Chapel is located on College Avenue at 12th Street.
