Commencement Ceremony
Weather permitting, the Commencement ceremony will be held at the Ray and Sue Smith Stadium.
Graduation candidates wear caps and gowns and sit together as a class. Do not decorate or alter your caps or gowns. Arrive in cap and gown with your name card no later than 2:30 p.m. to line up.
The Ceremony lasts approximately two hours. No tickets are needed for this venue, and the commencement will be live streamed.

The rain or inclement weather location for the Commencement Ceremony is DeVos Fieldhouse.
We monitor weather forecasts through Sunday morning, when a final decision will be made about the location of Commencement. If a decision is made to change venues, information will be shared at:

Tickets
Tickets are required only if the ceremony is held at the DeVos Fieldhouse (in the event of inclement weather). Tickets are not required if the ceremony is held at Ray and Sue Smith Stadium. Get ticket information online.

LIVE STREAM
Commencement will be streamed online and broadcast live at the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts for those that aren't able to get tickets for DeVos Fieldhouse.
Recycle Your Cap and Gown!
The Hope College Green Team has partnered with greenmichigan.org to capture and recycle our seniors' graduation gowns, keeping them from our local landfill.
Graduates: Stop by the bookstore to recycle your cap and gowns by Wednesday, May 6, to support us in our ongoing mission of greater sustainability (and be sure to pick up some awesome alumni gear)!
