Multiple Hope College students earned recognition during the Michigan Chapter Student Auditions of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, held on Saturday, April 17, at Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, including a first place award.

Jennifer Boone of Wyoming won first place and Chelsea Kramer of Traverse City won second place in the Sophomore Women category. Reginald Haney, a sophomore from Harvey, Ill., won third place in Musical Theatre. Sara Luneack of Alma received honorable mention in the Senior Women category.

Voice students from colleges and universities around the state sang for a panel of judges in 18 categories. A total of 12 Hope students competed in the event.
