Whether you sing, dance, sign or play, there are plenty of ways to get involved in worship at Hope College.
- Worship Team
The worship team glorifies God through the ministry of worship at Hope College. Students are invited to apply to audition for the team.
- Gospel Choir
The Gospel Choir is a group of students who have come together from all different backgrounds, cultures and denominations to glorify God through worship in a variety of gospel and contemporary Christian music styles. We have found our identity in the Lord Jesus Christ and in his saving grace. We are worshippers of the almighty God.
Under the leadership of Gospel Choir Director, CJ Kingdom-Grier, the choir will participate in the Chapel and Gathering services throughout the school year.
Gospel Choir is not an accredited course that you have to attend every week, but we do value the commitment and importance to practice once a week. We offer an encouraging environment that will help you to rejoice in the Lord always — again, I say rejoice!
If you would like to participate in Gospel Choir, we have rehearsal on Mondays at 6:30 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel stage area. We require no auditions to join the Gospel Choir family. Just show up with an open heart and get ready to make a joyful noise to the Lord!

- Sacred Dance
We are a community of believers and dancers who have committed ourselves not to dance for applause or performance, but to worship God in every aspect of our lives and our movement. It is not our intent to be the focus of any worship service; rather we join in worship with churches and organizations because we hope that God will use movement to speak to us and others.

- Silent Praise
Silent Praise is a student-run organization that seeks to praise God through worship in American Sign Language (ASL). We will learn basic ASL to worship songs. We will interpret in Chapel and at the Gathering the songs we have learned. We will also learn about awareness of Deaf/deaf and hard-of-hearing culture. This organization has not met for the last year, however we will be building and learning together. There is no need to have any prior knowledge. Come, enjoy and learn lots!! Meetings: Every Sunday, 6:30 p.m., Dimnent Memorial Chapel basement, room 10.
- Tech Team
Tech Team members are the unsung heroes of the chapel ministry. They’re the crazy men and women who get up at the crack of dawn to set up the technical gear required for the band to lead worship. They’re also the ones who stay after everyone has gone, making sure every last microphone is put away and the lights are out. If you have a serious servant's heart and a techy nature, there may be a place for you on the tech team! Email Paul Chamness.
