Forms & Resources
After you’ve submitted your financial aid application, you may be required to submit additional forms and supporting documents.
FAFSA Processing – What to Expect
Application processing
- Submit your FAFSA as soon as you are able in order to avoid processing delays.
- Within 3–5 days of your FAFSA submission, the U.S. Department of Education will release your FAFSA information to the colleges you have listed on your form.
- After we have received your FAFSA we will review your eligibility for federal, state and institution aid programs. Your application review may take several weeks to ensure we are meeting regulatory requirements and providing an equitable awarding process to all applicants. Learn more about the timeline for applying for aid.
ADDITIONAL Requirements & SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES
- If you are required to submit additional documents, our office will send you a request with details. Complete the required forms, print them for proper signatures and send them to the Office of Financial Aid via email, fax or U.S. mail.
- Additional forms and documents that are required to determine aid eligibility are reviewed within 2–4 weeks of your financial aid application being complete. A complete application consists of a FAFSA on file with the college and all supporting and required documentation has been received.
- If you have a special or unusual circumstance you may submit the appropriate form and supporting documentation for review. Requests for special or unsusual circumstances will be reviewed after you have received your initial financial aid notice. Contact our office to discuss your situation and your next steps.
