Off-Campus Rentals

Students

To find a roommate or view off-campus rentals

Landlords

To list your rental property on a private, student bulletin board, we need three things:

  1. Information about the rental
  2. A copy of your City of Holland rental permit (if required by city ordinance)
  3. A $40 fee per rental unit or location, payable through the Student Development Office

Information should be emailed to housing@hope.edu. Advertisements will be posted for six weeks. Please be aware that listings cannot be viewed by the public and are limited to just the Hope College community.

NOTICE: Effective July 1, 2024, the off-campus rental advertisement fee increased to $40 per rental unit or location for a six-week posting.

Rental information

Please provide the following information for each listing:

  • Street address (including cross-street as needed)
  • Contact person (first and last name)
  • Description of property
Describe the unit or house, neighborhood, length of lease, terms, rent amount, and anything else which might help students decide whether they wish to contact you about the rental.
  • Photo of property (if desired, limited to one photograph only)
  • Contact email

Rental permit

To post your ad online, we require a copy of your City of Holland rental permit for each location within city limits as well as your name, permanent address and telephone number.

If we have a current copy on file or if the rental location is outside city limits, you're all set! If not, please email a copy to housing@hope.edu.

Payment

There is a $40 fee per rental unit or location each time we post or renew your advertisement. We will accept cash, check, VISA, MasterCard and Discover card in person at the Student Development Office, or you can make credit card payments via phone at 616.395.7943.
