The Dow Center offers a variety of amenities so you can work out how you choose. 

Racquetball is Back!

Reservations can be made at the Equipment Room, by calling 616.395.7702, or by emailing dowcenter@hope.edu.There are two courts available to reserve, and reservations can only be made within 24 hours of the court time (e.g., 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the earliest for a 5:30 p.m. Wednesday reservation).

The 175,000 square-foot Dow Center was completed in 1978. It includes  three racquetball/wallyball courts and three wood-surfaced basketball/volleyball courts for you to use and enjoy. 

In addition, we offer:

  • 1/10 mile indoor track
  • An Olympic-size swimming pool with a diving well
  • Two locker rooms
  • Two dry saunas
  • The weight room offers a wide variety of machines and weights. The weight room offers a wide variety of machines and weights.
  • The Dow Center pool is outfitted for lap swimming and diving. The Dow Center pool is outfitted for lap swimming and diving.

The Dow features separate weight and cardio rooms. A wide variety of machines and free weights are available in the weight room, whereas the following machines are available in the cardio room: 

  • 17 upright bikes
  • 10 elliptical machines
  • Four treadmills
  • Six stair climbers
  • Three elliptical stair climbers

Dow Center Hours

• Monday–Friday: 7 a.m.–10 p.m.
• Saturday: 9 a.m.–8 p.m.
• Sunday: 1–10 p.m.
