Hope Academy of Senior Professionals (HASP)

"HASP programs foster good listening, learning, reading, sharing, and the pleasure of discussion."
Dr. John Hollenbach, HASP Founder

Thank you for your interest in the Hope Academy of Senior Professionals. HASP is a peer led institute for learning in retirement and is constituted as a branch of Hope College. It is also affiliated with the Elderhostel Institute Network. Through a variety of classes, lectures, study groups, cultural and service events members pursue avenues of study and exchange ideas.

Please note that before making application for membership we request that you attend one of our monthly meetings so that you can assess your interest in participating.

Our monthly meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at the HAWORTH INN and Conference Center on the Hope campus. Coffee begins at 8:30 a.m. and the program runs from 9:00-10:00 a.m.

HASP Courses and Special Events are open only to HASP members.

For further information on membership, course schedules, or other questions, please contact the HASP office at (616) 395-7919, or hasp@hope.edu.

Lifelong learning and service opportunities for retirees have been major emphases throughout the history of the Hope Academy of Senior Professionals, which is celebrating its 25th Anniversary this spring with a membership of 600-plus.
