Our candidate pool includes undergraduate students pursuing full-time positions and/or competitive internships from disciplines across campus.

Through our free online system, Handshake, employers can post a job or internship.

Posting a job or internship

Handshake is Hope’s career platform. You can post current job or internship* opportunities as well as submit requests for future recruiting activities, including an on campus recruiting schedule, information session, or Career Fair registration in this system.

Login or create your account *If posting an unpaid internship, it must meet the six criteria required by the U.S. Department of Labor. See the National Association of Colleges and Employers position statement on U.S. internships for further details. Third-party recruiters must adhere to all terms and conditions set forth in the Third-Party Recruitment Policy.

Career & Internship Fairs

Hope College hosts two in-person Career and Internship Fairs during each school year, one in the fall (typically September) and one in the spring (typically late February/early March). There are also tabling opportunities and niche/subject specific recruiting fairs offered as well.

DiscoverWork

DiscoverWork connects students with alumni and employer partners of Hope College who share their career experiences, lessons learned and professional tips for landing a job or internship in their industries.

These short-term, unpaid opportunities allow students to meet with or shadow professionals in a way that is different from an internship. They typically last 1–2 days, but may last longer.

These opportunities take place all over the United States and are offered every year. The DiscoverWork program is not for academic credit and students are not compensated.

The Hope College Connection Live panels and networking events

The Hope College Connection Live events provide opportunities for current Hope students to meet and receive advice from alumni and employers in specific fields. Our goal is to introduce students to the multiple opportunities that exist not only for their education, but for where they choose to live and work.

Center for Leadership Consulting Projects

Do you have an opportunity or problem your organization doesn’t have the time or resources to tackle? Are you interested in helping to develop the next generation of leaders? If yes, please take a deep dive into our Center for Leadership (CFL) Consulting program to explore how we can help your organization achieve your goals with an elite group of students led by an experienced practitioner coach.

The Boerigter Center for Calling and Career has opportunities available starting at just $500 that will give your company or organization elevated exposure to Hope students at events and every day on campus. Summer Career Accelerator

Hope offers the opportunity for students to take advantage of the slower pace of summer by participating in the Summer Career Accelerator. Learn more about this program from the student perspective. A popular component of this process is the Virtual Employer event in June, which allows an opportunity to highlight your company or organization online to groups of interested students, and then meet with them virtually in fast paced, 10-minute, 1-on-1 informational interviews to answer specific questions about your work to students with interest.
