Off-Campus Rides

All rides provided through Off-Campus Rides are charged directly to a student's account; we do not accept cash, checks or any other form of payment. All charges through Hope College are added to a bill to be paid through Business Services.

All rides will need to be set up by emailing rides@hope.edu. When setting up an off-campus ride with Off-Campus Rides, please provide the following information:

• Student ID
• Phone number
• Ride location, times, dates, duration (e.g., all semester until finals week)

All rides should be requested at least 72 hours in advance so that we can ensure one of our drivers and vehicles will be available.

Education students: Rides to area schools are offered in school districts in the Holland/Zeeland area (i.e., Holland Public, Holland Christian, Zeeland, Zeeland Christian, and West Ottawa school districts).

Off-Campus Rides offers rides for field placements, internships and appointments within the area of Holland or Zeeland: Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Off-Campus Rides is not open on the weekends.  

EXPRESS RIDES

Off-Campus Rides offers express rides around the Holland/Zeeland area, including to a medical appointment, an internship or other nearby locations.

For express rides, students are charged $3 each way ($6 round trip).

EDUCATION SHUTTLES

For education students that need transportation to their field placements, we offer shuttles Monday–Friday:

• 8:15 a.m. (outbound only)
• 10:30 a.m. (inbound and outbound)
• 12:30 p.m. (inbound and outbound)
• 2:45 p.m. (inbound only)

Round-trip transportation to a school and back to campus costs $4. We drive to schools within the West Ottawa, Holland and Zeeland school districts, including Holland Christian, Black River, Eagle Crest and others.

ON-CAMPUS MEDICAL ESCORTS

We offer free medical escorts to students who are injured, recently had surgery or just need help getting around. We can take you from your residence hall to classes, on-campus jobs, the cafeteria, etc. at no cost. Contact us in advance so we can set up a schedule for you.

RIDES TO THE TRAIN/BUS STATION

We also offer rides to the train station in Holland at no cost to students. If you're looking to set up a ride, please call Off-Campus Rides at 616.395.7075.

Any requests outside of business hours will need to go directly through Campus Safety (616.395.7770). Please contact Campus Safety at least 20–30 minutes before you need to be picked up to ensure that an officer will be available.
